Key Findings for October 2020
October 2020 looks like a values “comfort food” month: the top 10 barely move, suggesting people’s priorities were unusually settled rather than bouncing around. In share terms (appearances ÷ 16,774), Health leads at 45.2%, followed by Family 41.2% and Trust 39.9%. Even #10, Security, still shows up in 25.1% of tests, so the whole top tier is broadly popular, not a winner-takes-all situation.
On rankings, there are effectively no headline movers: eight of the top 10 hold their exact places, and the only change is Freedom and Respect trading 8th and 9th. That kind of near-frozen leaderboard usually signals a consistent collective mood rather than a trend chase.
The mix tells a story: a strong “protect and preserve” core (Health, Family, Trust, Peace, Security) paired with “life is still for living” energy (Pleasure 32.9%, Love 31.8%, Freedom 30.0%). Financial stability at 30.5% sits right in the middle—practical, but not eclipsing relationships and wellbeing.
Seasonally, October’s vibe often nudges people toward home, safety, and reflection; this data fits that cozy, risk-aware mindset perfectly.
