Key Findings for October 2021
October’s top values skew heavily toward stability and wellbeing. Health appears in ~45.3% of tests, Family ~41.3%, and Trust ~37.8%, forming a “protect the basics” trifecta. Even the lower end of the top 10 is strong: Security still shows up in ~24.8%, so these aren’t niche preferences—they’re mainstream instincts.
The top 10 is the same set as in September, just lightly reordered. The biggest climber is Freedom (+2 positions, to 7th), while Security holds 10th and Respect slips a place to 9th: a fun combo of “don’t box me in, but also keep me safe.” Pleasure (+1 position, ~32.7%) passing Financial stability for 5th, with Peace (~36.1%) holding 4th, hints at people wanting relief without chaos.
Taken together, October reads like a priorities playlist: stay healthy, stay connected, reduce stress, and stabilize money (Financial stability ~32.3%, 6th). Seasonally, early fall often brings routines back, colder-weather caution, and end-of-year money focus—perfect conditions for Health, Security, Peace, and Financial stability to steal the spotlight.
